St. Stephen's is a welcoming, confident community with a diversity of gifts; where all are equal in Christ. We live our baptismal vows through mutual respect, shared ministry, and joyful worship.

OUR VISION

God's love reaches out to all. No one is excluded from it, it crosses the boundaries of culture, religion, race, ethnicity, gender and age.

God's love transforms. Our mission field lies amongst our family, friends, work, neighbors, colleagues, and the people we meet as we go about our daily life.

OUR COMMUNITY

At St. Stephen’s, Church means a supportive community, a place where you can learn, grow and heal, and a sacred space where you can encounter and experience holiness.

We are a wild mix of people: life-long Episcopalians born and raised in the Anglican tradition, converts from the more widespread Utah religion, locals, immigrants, of every generation and of every walk of life. We are all looking for something and we are all doubting some things, but we try to build a good community, to be supportive of each other and to accept that we can be both wonderful and deeply flawed at the same time. We make mistakes, we learn, we grow and we heal.

We believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As constituent members of the Anglican Communion in the United States, we are descendants of and partners with the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church, and are part of the third largest group of Christians in the world.

We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.

We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God, and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.

We believe that God loves you – no exceptions!

FIND YOUR FAITH

Whether you are a long time Episcopalian, or just checking us out, you are welcome in our Church.  We will do our very best to make you feel at home among us.  Have questions? that is what we love.
